Après le Japon, la France et le Canada en juin 2007, le premier album anglophone de Corneille, The Birth of Cornelius, sortira début 2008 aux Etats-Unis, chez le légendaire label MOTOWN (Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Erikah Badu, Akon, Amy Winehouse, India Arie, Scissor Sisters, Brian Mc Knight, ...)

The Birth of Cornelius a été enregistré à New York au Studio Avatar, et mixé par le célèbre Russell "The Dragon" Elevado (Keziah Jones, The Roots, Erykah Badu, Roberta Flack, Al Green, Blackalicious, Common, D'Angelo, Alicia Keys , Jay Z...). Russell Elevado a notamment remporté un Grammy Award en 2000 pour Voodoo de D'Angelo.
